Earlier this week I published a trends and insights report gleaned from management calls and financial performance of Indian financial firms. 23 listed companies. 81 pages of analysis. One clear conclusion: /1

Criminally underrated band. They have songs much better than Wonderwall.

Funny to me that some VCs are reluctant to use AI for serious internal ops but are building theses on investing in AI agents for financial institutions.

As an investor, whenever i see stuff like this, i wonder, if a founder came to me with this ambition.... "osborne, i'm building a data centre in space, powered by the sun, i'm raising X, are you in?" ...would i partner with invest in this ambition?
Others: energy is the biggest limiting factor to train cutting edge models others: nuclear is the best solution to address our energy demands in competing with china's AI models. Google: Let's send datacenters to space & use the most abundant energy source to train models 🤯

Our TPUs are headed to space! Inspired by our history of moonshots, from quantum computing to autonomous driving, Project Suncatcher is exploring how we could one day build scalable ML compute systems in space, harnessing more of the sun’s power (which emits more power than 100

The founders built quietly while chasing huge ambitions. Need more founders like them! Had written about the juggernaut that Groww has become in Fintech Inside back in 2023! Best wishes to the founders, team and their families https://t.co/NsVadtdUng

all of this is correct but I feel it loses nuance too. once a company is public, the retail investors, founders and VCs are all in the same boat. if the company is showing low profits, scaling very fast and increases valuation by 3x, everyone makes more money on the share
If you take money out of a business as dividends, the effective tax rate is 52% (25% corporate tax + 35.5% on personal income). Through capital gains, it's just 14.95% (with cess). Why does this matter? Here’s what you should know if you invest in IPOs. If you're an investor

fwiw, we're in a buyers market. unfortunately, not all buyers know what we want to buy. we see other people buying things & want the same. we see a company at a low price & want to buy it for the low price. none of these necessarily make for a good buying strategy.

There are so many shark tank-style shows about funding and starting up in India. on the whole, I think it's a great trend and will hopefully normalise taking risk to start up for a better outcome for oneself, their families & their teams. super bullish

Stumbled across the incredible work by @srajagopalan with 1991 Project - celebrating 30 years of the 1991 reforms. It's an incredible repository of documents from that time along with videos and discussions. Very cool. https://t.co/vJJ4N4FQ8h

Indian business families still consulting pandits for business decisions in 2025 and we’re here on twitter debating the most pointless metrics. we’re so removed from reality here on twitter.
