The MoD are responsible for the biggest data breach in British history. We cannot ever accept a National ID system in Britain. No if's, no but's, it's not happening.

Here's some key events that contributed to the fall of the Identity Cards Act [2006] in Britain:. Nov 2007 - HMRC officials lost the personal details of 25m people. Jan 2008 - MoD revealed that one of its laptops - containing the details of 600,000 people - was stolen from a car.

Whether it's the MoD, NHS or the National Electoral Commission, the state are *hopeless* in preventing serious, consequential data breaches. That's why we simply *cannot* have a National ID / BritCard system in the UK.

Labour have been pushing National ID since 2001. Blunkett once called them 'Entitlement Cards'. Now they're using 'Digital ID' in a modern, duplicitous iteration to soften & trick opposition. The UK made its decision to repeal ID cards in 2010 & that is how things must stay.

But of course the former chief spook & his ilk would relish at such a system because it might make things even easier for them to hire such individuals once they're in the UK. Like the abusive neo-Nazi that MI5 falsely gave evidence about in the courts.

It's 'absolutely obvious' that other well established National ID systems in continental Europe *haven't done a thing* to prevent migrants from making their way to Britain. Younger is talking about National ID. It was rejected through the Identity Documents Act [2010].

β€œIt's absolutely obvious to me that people should have a digital identity. Let's stop shouting at the French. A lot of this is on us.”. Ex-MI6 boss, Sir Alex Younger, backs calls for digital ID cards and adds that they could help deter small boat crossings. #Newsnight

Unlike continental Europe, National ID is novel to UK society. We don't see it as a social need compared to other states with long existing ID schemes. We don't want to become a society like Poland, for example, where you must produce ID if you book a train ticket online.

"Features that prioritise everyday utility [living] will guarantee rapid adoption [of eID] & long-term use among residents.". This is precisely what we don't want to become in the UK like elsewhere in Europe; a 'papers please' society for everyday life.

Here's what Palantir co-founder Alex Karp said in a recent interview: . ". so we’ve changed the world by humiliating people & getting rich. It’s the most effective way for social change: humiliate your enemy & make them poorer.".

One of the most common false equivalence arguments used in the 'ID' debate:. "We identify ourselves all the time using our phones, so why the concern about a govt ID". We don't explicitly verify our real-world identity through every single phone app or system process.

This week has been nothing more than just Global Britain virtue signalling & the usual 'cart before the horse' mentality from a govt who don't seem to understand that you can't model a digitised health system from a country like Singapore & expect similar results in the UK.

Mark our words @Keir_Starmer, your sheer arrogance about state overreach will come back to bite you hard with the next big NHS data breach & your precious app. Because let's face it, the NHS has poor legacy infrastructure & a rich history of cyber incidents.

Digital identity: Used everyday but doesn't explicitly verify our real world identity. Digital ID: NHS app, banking apps. We verify our real world identity with biometrics or other specific data. National ID: Centralised, legally backed state-issued identification.

They now want you to use a new app if you want a doctor's appointment. Just one catch - it's an AI doctor. Eventually, you'll also have to put on a wearable so they can track all your vitals and give you the list of all medications needed. Can you imagine when you decide not to.
