Teaching is one of things I love in life. I love to help students learn about cool bugs like cicadas. Letting students touch real cicadas helps them learn.

On the bus ride home, I saw one of my students getting better at math with the Duolingo app. Duolingo isn’t only for languages. It’s for math too!

My students and I had a lot of fun together. There was a treasure hunt, swimming and lots of games and laughing. At the end of the day everyone ate dinner on the grass.

My students are using mind maps to help them. They are learning about what it’s like to be an American student. For example, American students use lockers and eat lunch at the cafeteria. The mind maps can’t have sentences. They use the keywords to help them speak in English.

I taught my students about the cicada. They touched them, asked questions and learned more about the infamous cicada. I told them about when our family went out at night. We caught some cicadas. Then Thuy cooked and ate them! 😂

Some of our younger students tried finger painting. They used the paints to help them improve their English vocabulary and speaking skills.

My students learned about cicadas today. Yesterday I went to the forest and collected some cicada exoskeletons. My students held them, asked questions and learned insect vocabulary. It’s great to be a teacher! ❤️

My character was a halfling thief who would do lots of sneaking around. Our DM was very good at crafting adventures and challenges for us as players. I have so many fond memories of playing D&D with my friends as a kid. Do you play any TTRPGs like D&D now? (2/2).

As a kid my friends and I played a lot of D&D. Each week we would take turns at each other's houses. I even convinced our local library to let us play in an unused meeting room in the basement. Sometimes one of the moms would make us snacks like Rice Krispie's Treats. (1/2)
