At first I didn’t think the song would fit the tone of my album and we even toyed with the idea of giving it to another artist (she recorded a beautiful version that I might leak someday)… but as the work came together it was clear that the album felt incomplete without it.

To me this song feels like a nihilism daydream. I wrote “waste of space” with Zach Sorgen on an especially f*cked day. While walking into the studio I got a text from my ex that I knew would be the last.
