We’ll be here until 2. Stop by!. Detective Payne has been coming here since he was a kid, back when Don gave him a free haircut. Now, he’s back, this time to help give back to the next generation. We love Omaha and our officers!.

Today our team is at Don's Barber Shop (4001 Ames Ave). When we heard Don was giving free back-to-school haircuts for kids in need, we jumped in to help. The OPOA stocked up on backpacks, school supplies, and other essentials, and today’s the day we get to share them.

This is unacceptable, especially in a district still grieving the impact of recent violence. The families of N Omaha are good, hard-working people. They deserve real leadership, leadership that builds bridges, not tears them down. And above all, they deserve to be safe.

When a few anti-police partygoers began throwing glass bottles at officers, Senator McKinney responded, not by condemning the violence, but by posting on Facebook telling them they didn’t have to leave.

Ten people were shot, one died, within a square mile over 24 hours this past weekend in Omaha. While our officers were performing CPR, applying tourniquets, and running toward gunfire, Nebraska State Senator Terrell McKinney, who represents this district, was flipping them off🧵

In March, our officers arrested Goar Chuar for robbery and making terroristic threats. A short time later he posted bond on those charges and was ordered by a judge to Douglas County Corrections Pretrial Release. 🧵

We are left with so many questions, but today, we focus on the victim. Rest in peace, Sirr Bonner. Thank you for the courage, commitment, and sacrifice you were prepared to make for our country. Your life mattered.
