Unfortunately a break issue in FP5 resulted in damage to the car & meant we didn’t make quali. The team are currently flat out and the car will be ready for the race tomorrow. Not been a great week so far so hopefully we can turn it around tomorrow when it counts #Bathurst12hr

Sad news as @mazdamotorsports have announced that this will be their last season in prototype racing. I want to thank everyone involved, I have so many amazing memories over the last 3 years. It is now time to focus on this year and end the programme in the right way 💪🏼

So to understand this correctly. they have decided to change regulations for a category that had 24 cars in Le Mans & was full of talent. For me this would have made sense in 2023 to coincide with the introduction of LMDH when the top class will be a more viable option 🤷🏼♂️.
#WEC line-ups in the LMP2 category will have to include two amateur drivers from next season:.

I don’t know the F1 specific rules but in other series it is normal to let lapped cars pass the safety car. Shame for it to end if controversy but one thing is for sure it has been an epic battle between two of the very best. Absolute gladiators!! #F1.

In that case I don't think I've ever been involved in a start/restart where the leader shouldn't have been penalised.
A word on the heavily discussed @dani_juncadella incident yesterday: he was speeding up too early at the 2nd restart. He accelerated in 1st corridor on start/finish instead of 2nd one. According to the regulations this infringement was punished by the race control #DTMSpielberg
