5th graders taught each other all about their Revolutionary War research topics using their creatively-designed slideshows. Team members relied on each other to teach the group important facts so that they could do well on the class Blooket challenge!

Second graders know how to find books on the shelves of the library! Partners solved puzzles from our library escape breakout challenge. They figured out codes and found hidden keys to open the locked boxes and bags.

Which type of renewable energy is the best kind to be used in Illinois? This is what fourth graders debated after researching renewable sources like wind, solar, geothermal, biomass, and hydropower.

We learned so many new technology ideas at IDEACon! It will be fun to implement them at OMS.

OMS students learned about how author Saadia Faruqi @SaadiaFaruqi started out as an author. She taught us how to practice showing not telling in our writing. Her Yasmin series is one of our favorites!

Books sparked imagination at our OMS Family Reading Night! We celebrated illustrators in our classroom sessions and at the Jacqueline Alcantara and Sean Dove presentations.
