Two sister drillships being built in Hyundai’s shipyard. One drillship was already floating and about to complete equipment commissioning while the second ship was still in dry dock awaiting derrick installation. Hyundai’s mass production line was unlike anything I’ve ever seen .

The world is so fascinating. Greenland will now be inaccessible while Antarctica will be opening up so McMurdo Station can get enough supplies to last them a year.
In Greenland, the last supply ship of the season has departed. No more ships until June 2026, and the ice has cleared. (📸 sermilik_adventures_)

Couldn’t agree more, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had someone give me a dirty look or tell me “I’m a bad person for killing the environment” when being asked what I do for work. I don’t think there is an industry that is more hated by half the country with the exception
Landman has done more in a year to show case and humanize the hard working men and women in oil and gas than ALL the money scalping associations and lobbyist have done over the past 50 years. Showing the pain, gain, loss and sacrifice a few makes to benefit America is something

No one wants to work blue collar jobs anymore. The US Coast Guard just rolled back qualifications bc we have such a mariner shortage as well. Meanwhile you have how many kids graduating college that “can’t find work”? There’s plenty of work out there, kids just don’t want to do
🇺🇸 FORD CAN’T FIND MECHANICS - EVEN AT $120K A YEAR Ford’s CEO Jim Farley just dropped a stat that should make every politician sweat: 5,000 open mechanic jobs. 6-figure salaries. 0 takers. On a podcast this week, Farley basically said America’s running on economic fumes.

I don’t think you can make the argument that companies in the $oih are hated anymore. Its outperformance vs oil over the last few months has been impressive.

1. Correction - Harvey sold off 4 boats not 5 boats. 2. Forgot to add this but when Shane Guidry was asked why they sold off those boats to Otto Candies he said that Otto Candies made them an offer they couldn’t refuse. That terminology gave me a feeling like the rest of the
I’m going to guess that $TDW bought out Harvey since they already sold off 5 IMR’s to Otto Candies a few weeks back. I could be totally wrong, I’m just guessing like everyone else. This has been kept very hush hush. I still know people who work on supply boats and no one has

Surprising at first glance that $TDW bought back no shares in Q3 after the long awaited refi and $500m authorization. They maxed out their limited capacity in prior Qs, and now suddenly stopped altogether with +$400m of cash and the liberty to finally go big? If you take mgmt

Why is there a divergence playing out in heating oil?

Didn’t figure this out until after I bought my first house. Couldn’t agree more. . . Front loading all the interest is garbage.
Only way I get behind a 50-year mortgage is if we fix the amortization scam. Every single month should be 50/50 interest and principal. No more front loading. A seriously populist plan. 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

On a side note $Borr ‘s earnings are next week and someone earlier today bought a couple hundred thousand dollars worth of calls at 5 dollars strike price exp May 2026. Maybe some news about Mexico or Saudi will be revealed next week or maybe that money is just a hedge on a short

When it comes to market outlook during earnings I think $NE, without a doubt, has been the straightest shooter out of all the drillers. I really respect their management team for never sugarcoating current conditions. $Rig management sounds more optimistic so I’m very happy for

Really happy to see this! I’m hopeful ADES won’t be the only driller being called back to work in the sandbox.
