that 'hikaru' is currently existing as an entity, or something beyond human comprehension. Alongside with the visuals, you can even go so far as to think that in this moment, in the anime, yoshiki is repenting in front of a god. This constrasts the imagery in the manga (3/?).

the way that yoshiki now fully accepts him, and with 'hikaru' giving yoshiki half of himself, they are now equal. Whereas in the anime, although there is that same message, yoshiki is still overly remorseful and feels as though he is still below 'hikaru' in the sense of (2/?).

I think the change of this scene from the manga from yoshiki being on the bed to him being on the ground in the anime is so interesting to me. both are metaphorical for the way that yoshiki feels with 'hikaru' as in the manga, the scene was supposed to symbolize (1/?)
