Hi @MicDropApp friends! We've noticed some increased reports of high CPU usage, mostly with Bluetooth headphones, on macOS Ventura. We're looking into it and hope to have a fix out soon! 😅.

Good news for @MicDropApp users: we just shipped a new version (1.4.5) that includes compatibility with MS Teams' new "share system audio" driver. This new version also restores Bluetooth mics for users on macOS 12.4 and up, as Apple finally fixed the Bluetooth bug. Yaaaaay! 🎉.

If you noticed @MicDropApp is causing high CPU usage with the latest version of Microsoft Teams, we found a fix and will be shipping it in a new release (alongside improved Monterey 12.4 Bluetooth support). Should be ready this week! 🙂.

To all Monterey users: looks like there’s a bug in macOS 12 that causes all Bluetooth devices to link their output and microphone mute status. We’ve filed Feedback FB9574062 with Apple. If you find your headphones are muting when you mute your mic: that’s why.
