The Law Society of Zimbabwe has been alerted to the arrest of legal practitioner Obey Shava in Harare. Information gathered this far indicate that he was taking three clients to report to Harare Central Police Station as part of their reporting conditions. Below is a short video

Observe the selective enforcement of our cyber bullying laws. They’re used to protect people in high offices & those connected to the system. We are witnessing an excessive abuse of power. At any rate, not every offense justifies incarceration. It’s rule by law, not rule of law.

We are normally slow to drag our traditional leaders before the courts. We do that as the last resort. Meanwhile, we continue engaging with them outside court for compliance with the order.
