“God has called us to live holy lives, not impure lives” - 1 Thessalonians 4:7

Live in a way that pleases God. God's will is for you to be holy. Live in holiness and honour, not in lustful passion like the pagans who do not know God and his ways. Pray, read and meditate on 1 Thessalonians 4:1-5.

The message of salvation, though accepted joyfully, also brought severe suffering to the Thessalonians as they were persecuted. Their endurance however encouraged others (read 1 Thessalonians 1:6-7).

Go out there and preach. Preach with clear motives — without deceit or trickery (read 1 Thessalonians 2:3). Preach the Good News you have received confidently. Live by faith. Be a doer of the Word of God. That way you positively encourage others.

“We always thank God for all of you and pray for you constantly… We know, dear brothers and sisters, that God loves you and has chosen you to be his own people.” - 1 Thessalonians 1:2, 4.

“So you received the message with joy from the Holy Spirit in spite of the severe suffering it brought you. In this way, you imitated both us and the Lord. As a result, you have become an example to all the believers...” - 1 Thessalonians 1:6-7

Too many people including some supposedly in church settle for what Paul calls “empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense” (read Colossians 2:8). Learn to anything that contradicts Scripture.

When they undermine the authority of Christ, know that what they say comes from human thinking and the spiritual powers of this world, not from Christ (read Colossians 2:8).

Do not be deceived by well-crafted arguments. A lot of those arguments sit outside Scripture. Let your roots grow down into Jesus. Build your life on Him. Your faith will grow strong in the truth about Him and you will overflow with thankfulness (read Colossians 2:4-7).
