With so many emergencies facing NM in its short 30-day session the failing education system is not on the agenda for reform, sadly. MLG and a majority of Democrats would rather create another NEW failed government program- free childcare. ❌ Read more: https://t.co/W9A6QtCADV

According to a 2025 survey of NM voters, over 90% identify these 2 objectives- career based learning and academic reading & math training - as high priorities for our education system. Private schooling is a great option to achieve these objectives! 🏫 @oak4nm

It’s not a coincidence that the state with the lowest education freedom index also has the lowest student outcomes. When systems are prioritized over parents, inputs over results, and spending over accountability, children pay the price. @DeAngelisCorey @RioGrandeRGR
BREAKING: ALEC just released their state education freedom rankings. #1: Florida #2: Arizona #3: Arkansas #4: Iowa #5: West Virginia #6: Indiana #7: Utah #8: Oklahoma #9: Texas #10: Idaho

When discussions about children, education, or child welfare omit parental rights, it usually reflects an underlying assumption: that the institution —not parents—has primary authority. For many families, especially in New Mexico, that feels like a fundamental imbalance

My student. My choice.
Another state provided access to a federal tax credit for school choice. This costs the state nothing but will allow more students to access educational models that meet their individual needs. MLG says she will deny this opportunity in NM. Why? @oak4nm @yes_everykid @newsguy44

Wow! That 30 million could go to parents to help them hire one-on-one tutors for their children! @RioGrandeFndn @pgessing
New Mexico already spends billions on K-12 and pre-K, not to mention millions in state/local spending on libraries. But, I'm sure MLG's new $30 million "literacy institute" will move the needle on literacy in NM: https://t.co/uqzzzJtD72

New Mexico should be on this list!
Today, more than 1.5 million students across 34 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico are participating in 75 programs. The momentum school choice has seen is a direct result of families needing other options in their children's education. We look forward to this number
