As the 2010’s Comes to a close, so does the most successful decade in NY Mills Hoop history. As a program the past decade saw: 196 wins, 6 CSC titles, 6 straight Section III Class D titles (‘10-‘15), 5 trips to State Final Four, 3 title game appearances & 2 State Class D Titles.

A few days late. 36 years ago. Marauders become the 1st Section 3 team to win a NY State Title under the new tournament format. They then went on to win the Federation title the next day.

Your score keeper is the most important member of the non coaching staff. Not just there to go through the motions. It’s their responsibility to question the officials when there is confusion on the reporting of a foul/TO. Luckily we always had top notch score keepers.
(5) It's not clear at the moment, but seemingly the people keeping the official book and those keeping the books for the respective may not have been checking the books during timeouts for discrepancies.

7 years ago today. NY Mills defeats Coleman Catholic to win the 2011 Class D State Title, finishing the season 24-0.

Curse of Beekman? Starting in 2004 teams that beat Marauders in Sectional play that year(most of which would win Section title in yr. they beat NYM)have not won a another Sectional title since. 04 Poland, 06 Copenhagen, 08 Oppenheim, 12 Sackets Harbor, 16 Oriskany, 17 Madison.

On this day 2 years ago Terry Nichols set 2 school records set for 3’s (11) and points (53) in a single game. Interesting side note. Mills official scorer for this game (Scott Baur) was on the team when the previous record (51 pts) was set in 1987 by Eric Piekielniak

The '07 Marauders made a total of 14 3s on the whole season,a yr in which they won a Section Title. Terry Nichols made 15 3s this past week.

On this date in Marauders hoop history. The Marauders beat Long Island Lutheran in the Binghamton STOP DWI Tournament 3 pt contest. 12/28/2013. Marauders went on to win the Class D State title later that season
