The discussions focused on safe services, advocacy against unsafe abortion, and protecting girls from defilement and incest. Supported through the Changing Law, Changing Lives Project with Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and the Center for Reproductive Rights (CRR).

This community event, hosted by Nyale Institute at Senior Chief Chikumbu Headquarters in Mulanje, brought together traditional leaders, youth, health officials, and the media to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights.

At the 24 Sept event, Mr Friday Kumitengo pledged Nyale’s commitment to SRHR, while Chief Chikumbu urged girls to seek safe abortion services & warned against defilement. Health Services Administrator Chifundo Nzunga at Mulanje District Health Office praised Nyale’s advocacy.
