NWAAF will be closing on Thursday July 4th, 2024 in observance of the federal holiday. During this closure our funding and practical support teams will be on leave. Our online intake form will also be closed for the day.

New research shows that an overwhelming majority of women were able to end unwanted pregnancies by self-managing their abortions using abortion pills, even if they were well beyond the first trimester.

Most women who took abortion drugs were successful even at later gestation periods, researchers reported. Many used only misoprostol, not the usual two-drug combination.
