After this training, these farmers will be able to create new plants as per their desire through these propagation methods, significantly reducing their dependence on the market for quality plants. This will also ensure food diversity in their fields. #EmpoweredFarmers

This training was conducted by the agricultural expert of Mahatma Gandhi Seva Ashram in Karahal block of Sheopur district, Madhya Pradesh, with groups of 25 farmers in four different villages: Sonipura, Gadha, Hanumankheda, and Chakmajidpur.

In the month of July 2024, 100 farmers from the Nutrition Smart CommUNITY received one-day training on various methods of regenerating plants from healthy plants through grafting, layering (air and soil), and budding.

These camps aim to address the nutritional needs of undernourished children by providing additional nutritious meals. Mothers will also receive support to learn basic, baby-friendly recipes and understand the importance of growth monitoring & ten food groups, along with hygiene.
