After 13 days, the Old Field Fire in Miramichi is contained, according to GNB. It burned 1,402 hectares approximately. Seven fires remain out of control in New Brunswick.

Two fires are considered out-of-control in New Brunswick. One outside Miramichi is continuing to burn and did jump Highway 8 - some homes have been evacauted and others are on notice. A significant fire has also ignited and is spreading quickly in Irishtown, near Moncton.

A forest fire is currently considered out-of-control about 11km outside Douglastown in Miramichi. The Department of Natural Resources said about an hour ago the fire is currently being knocked down. It has grown to 35 hectares in the last few hours.
