Better Trope: rebellious protagonist starts AS a cop and ends up seeking justice in their own way
Rebellious character becomes a cop instead of seeking justice in their own way. Bonus points if said character had bad run-ins with the law yet still insist on joining their ranks later on.

while it's true that these shows have their own distinctness, they came from a similar approach and had many of the same crew members attached. the studio MIR shows that come out today are the same. (albeit with less sauce).
