sorry for ranting but i just felt like voicing my current frustrations with the manga. i was trying to be optimistic in my original thread but i really hope things start to change soon 😭

there have been maybe 2 good/satisfying chapters in this match so far and ego’s lecturing feels pointless and unnecessary against a team we barely know anything about and are being beaten so one sidedly. +

as well as certain ideas coming across as forced rather than organically developed through the narrative. it somehow feels rushed and dragged out at the same time and the point of the match has already been made several times over by now. +

to add to this bc i’m still thinking about it, even if this match DOES end up having a greater narrative purpose, i still think it’s kinda poorly written the intent doesn’t matter if the execution is not good and this match is boring at the VERY least +

i’ve seen a lot of people calling this match boring and i honestly agree i’m just hoping that it’s intentional in order to serve a purpose for the greater narrative that’s coming. the subsequent defeat and struggle to climb back up with a broken ideology will be so satisfying +

like let’s not forget knsr said things are going to get very difficult soon. i think this match is meant to boost their ego to the extreme to make the inevitable fall even more devastating, which i, for one, am looking forward to +

i haven’t read the full leaks bc i’ve been busy all weekend but ive seen a lot of people upset about it while i agree i dont like the current ideology, im pretty sure thats supposed to be the point?? like to me the story seems setting up to get that idea destroyed soon +
