Same opinion. I even portraited it in my MSM2 concept back in 2021. Venom should be bigger and bulkier than Spider-Man, but not a One Piece ahh villain like in actual MSM 2
Hot Take but I cannot stand when Venom is a massive giant. I like when he's slightly bigger than Spider-Man cuz he could often be mistaken for Spider-Man still wearing the Black Suit

My honest take: Disney's Ultimate Spider-Man did enormous harm to character's image for the younger generation. From a lonely complicated hero to the complete joke, who's annoying and always has to be around other Marvel characters just for the sake of team up. #Spiderman
