Love is the heartbeat of the Gospel.Not loud love. Not convenient love. But love that moves, reaches, forgives, and serves. Jesus did not say love only those who look like you, think like you, vote like you, worship like you, or live like you. He said: Love your neighbor.

In the midst of this historic snowstorm, let us love one another. Check on each other. Call. Text. Pray. Share what you can but be safe, use wisdom and common sense. Love looks like caring and protecting life. Love in action means becoming the neighbor God called us to be.

My nephews and niece were celebrating surviving their 100th day of school today. Gotta love it. Aren't their shirts precious? Love those smiles too. God is good!! #100thdayofschool

Today is Thankful Thursday a moment not just to say thank you for what we see, but also for what we do not yet see… for blessings unfolding quietly, for doors opening behind the scenes, and for strength rising within us when we thought we were weary.

Create in me a clean heart O God and renew the right spirit within me. Psalm 51:10

Blessed be the name of the Lord. His mercy endures forever. Jesus I trust in you and thank you. For you alone are the Lord. You alone are the Holy One. The Most High God! The King of Kings. You alone are worthy to be praised. Forever I will sing of your goodness and kindness.

My God is awesome! His love is everlasting.

And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house and when thou walkest by the way and when thou liest down and when thou risest. Deuteronomy 6:6-7

Every word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Proverbs 30:5

Today and every day, may we choose light over darkness, hope over fear, and love over hate. 💛

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.” — Matthew 5:9

As Dr. King once said, “The rent you pay for your room here on earth is due every day in good deeds.” What a powerful reminder that our lives are measured not by what we accumulate, but by how we love, serve, and uplift others.

Scripture says“No one can serve two masters… You cannot serve both God and money.” Matthew 6:24 “For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.” 1 Timothy 6:10 Dr. King modeled leadership grounded in love, justice, humility, and unwavering faith in God and humanity.

“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.” — 1 Peter 4:8

Choose love, not hate. In a world that too often rewards anger and division, let us be people who lead with compassion, grace, and courage. Love has the power to heal wounds, bridge differences, and transform hearts.

In a world still longing for healing and unity Dr. King's dream lives on in every act of kindness, every stand for justice and every heart that chooses love over fear. Scripture reminds us to: “Let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never failing stream.”

May we honor Dr. King not only with our words but with our lives by building bridges, lifting others, speaking truth with grace and serving with humility. Let us keep the dream alive. Let us walk together in peace. Let us love boldly. Let us lead with faith. Happy MLK Day!
