Over 100 entries were submitted from prisoners in NI. Five of those received the top Platinum Award with others achieving Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards which recognised outstanding creativity. Well done to all the award winners. 2/2

Prison Arts Foundation has hosted an event at Magilligan to mark the 2025 Koestler Awards, which highlight artistic talent of individuals in the criminal justice system. The Awards play a crucial role in rehabilitation by encouraging creativity in prisons. 1/2

Two Maghaberry Senior Officers attended Tedberry market to help at the Daisy Lodge @CancerFundChild stall. This was the final fundraiser of the year – with over £11,000 raised by the staff and prisoners. 1/2

North Down & Ards @WomensAidNI Centre were presented this week with Christmas hampers which were donated by staff and prisoners at Maghaberry. Each hamper contained health products, clothing and confectionery. Great work by everyone involved, epitomising the spirit of Christmas.

Maghaberry has held a series of events this week to mark International Men’s Day. These have included guest speakers on leadership and team for our staff work, as well as a talk on addiction and trauma for prisoners.
