there are a lot of ways you can prepare extended textures, mostly a matter of preference and consideration for the file size and shape asymmetry just wanted to add some more context since alot of you do try to make sense of it from watching my process videos (glad to help!) ^^)/

(can also thicken and layer the edge line underneath to change it to underfill) edge line is used for the belt so highlight can move with the line! can also use the underfill method for the belt and clip the highlight layer to the base.

- edge line (skirt) - skirt has a single slit, clipping to a base layer would require some extra allowance on the base for the part behind the slit to be shown more in turning, so it is clipped to a mask layer (green) + an edge line.

using both underfill and edge line methods - underfill (vest) - will take more space in the texture atlas but is easier for the rigger to adjust (preferred method).
