i figured it'd be fun to do a lil time lapse of reworking the posthog about page. so here's a bit of me moving some words and shapes around, and then writing come code.

this is an exceptionally valuable concept, and works great for both sides: - companies want to bring in top-tier talent - top-tier talent that aren't agencies are generally locked up in work but there are times i'd love to advise companies without doing the actual work. plus
Hear me out – fractional design lead on a retainer. Been talking to a lot of product teams lately and seeing the same pattern repeating: They need design leadership but full-time is too early, retainers are too expensive, or they can't find the right person fast enough. What

screenshotting your site? okay whatever (maybe, though i opted out), but now 1-click copy a design/user flow directly into Figma? yeah hard line.

it's incredible how Mobbin has built an entire business off of using designers' work for commercial purposes without their consent or compensation and everyone is somehow cool with it??

the previous tweet was written while laying on a rock hard bed with a flat pillow and no separate sheet from comforter (which means i'll be hot/cold/hot/cold all night) in an airport @Hilton

chains are supposed to be about consistency. yet i find hotel chains fail in the areas that matter most. the most important factors in hotels: pillows, sheets, and bed. i don't care if you have the same exterior facade – i want a consistent experience. yet somehow this doesn't

i've never been deep in design twitter. (for example, didn't even know who Ridd was until he hit me up to be on Dive Club. i know, cardinal sin of a real designer.) but i'm kinda getting fed up in seeing design twitter in my timeline. posts like: - one man design agencies -

"Digital gangster" 😏
Whoever crafted the @posthog website is a total gangster. I can not believe the level of detail. It has window management and snap to re-size windows for goodness sake. And the aesthetic is so good... I'm blown away.

there's a lack of job mobility for well-seasoned designers who are very product-oriented - or technically-inclined. the best way to gain job security is to expand your skill set, but for most, it's not easily portable unless you know people. how do we solve this?

don't over-engineer your side project by thinking about how it should work 10 years from now. just build for tomorrow. if you end up making it 10 years, it's like you're providing job security to somebody else who wouldn't even have a job if it weren't for you thinking short-term
