A Russian drone configured as a radio retranslator for FPVs, with three relay transmitters and the capacity to switch frequencies. Retranslating means that the frequencies are changed from controller to FPV. The motor/propeller combination was selected for efficient hovering. 1/

A module in Russian “Zala” reconnaissance UAVs detects the video signal of approaching Ukrainian fighter FPVs and automatically initiates evasion maneuvers. Zalas have rear-facing cameras to see these FPVs but may not always spot them, but the signal is detectable at all aspects.
This Russian Zala-16 reconnaissance UAV maneuvered violently as it was pursued by a Ukrainian FPV, indicating it was equipped with the rear camera system as in the quote below. In this case the evasion maneuvers were in vain as the FPV ultimately prevailed.
