Day 87 of learning to code:.Trying to wrap my head around prototypes & prototypical inheritance. brain.exe stopped working 🫠 Also checked out Unix Guy's cybersecurity vids - figured it's time to branch out a bit. 🔐.

Day 86 of learning to code:.Attempted recursion exercises but gave up after two. 🤦‍♀️ Switched to closures instead. Had seen it before but things made more sense this time. Redid exercises and they felt easier. Sometimes revisiting old topics > forcing new ones. 🔄.

Day 85 of learning to code:.Deep diving into recursion with Nader's video today. Weird mix of feelings - tree traversal concepts clicked (knew concept of DFS before) but the actual implementation part? My brain's still doing backflips. 🤯.

Day 84 of learning to code:.Finished the Pokemon downloader CLI! 🎉 Sure, error handling is non existing and there's no module separation, but watching those sprites download to the pokemon folder was chef's kiss. Then I saw Nader's code vs mine. oof. 💀 But hey, it works! 🤷‍♀️.

Day 83 of learning to code:.Spent most of today coding the pokemon downloader CLI from Nader's project. Working on pokemon stats, file/folder creation, saving stats and downloading artwork. Taking forever but honestly? I'm really enjoying this stuff. 🎮✨

Day 82 of learning to code:.Started the Pokémon Downloader CLI project! Got inquirer working with promptUser function, then wrestled with PokéAPI and got getStats running. Having fun but man, it's slow going - lots of googling and AI help with programming concepts!.

Day 80 of learning to code:.Started with async generators but stopped halfway - reddit says barely anyone uses them IRL 🤷‍♀️ Skipped symbols too, can learn that when I actually need it. Watched a video about RegEx & did the exercises.

Day 78 of learning to code:.Back to basics with async/await - sometimes you just need to! Went down a YouTube rabbit hole of async JS tutorials - callbacks, Promises, async/await. Enjoy hearing different people explain it, each perspective clicks differently🧩.

Day 74 of learning to code:.Back at Joy of React again - hit 57% of Module 1! 🎯 Learning about components and app structure. It's fascinating stuff. Having those "I love this!" moments mixed with "wait, can I actually do this?" doubts. But it feels like i forgot everything lol.

Day 72 of learning to code:.More katas solved, feels like I’m procrastinating on the Webpack project, lol. 😅 I also found a video on factory functions, and with some distance, those concepts make more sense now. Later I deleted my whole Webpack setup and started fresh.

Day 71 of learning to code:.I solved two katas today. One that I couldn’t figure out in the past and a 6 kyu one. It wasn’t the most elegant solution, but hey, it worked. I also started the Restaurant page project, but I have to admit, it’s been tough. Not sure about this at all.

Day 70 of learning to code:.Today, I reviewed ES6 Modules and npm with Tech with Nader for a refresher. After a long break, I tackled 4 katas on Codewars. Still sticking to 8 or 7 kyu for now, as I don’t feel ready for the harder ones yet.

Day 69 of learning to code:.I went through ES6 Modules, npm, and Webpack today, and I already know I’ll need a review tomorrow along with extra learning. The number of files in Webpack?! Like, what?! 🫣 I keep reminding myself—if it were easy, everyone would be doing it.

Day 68 of learning to code:.Back to OOP - I’ve been learning about Classes, which come right after the Tic Tac Toe project I postponed. I don’t get why Odin Project doesn’t start with them. It all makes way more sense now! I watched an intro to OOP and worked through exercises.
