Not that I’d call them a failed design but perhaps just a little irrelevant today, my attempt at a cheap motherbin setup from 20 years ago. 2x60t field bins with sideways boots. They used to just end up being separated and loosing effect of the larger storage.

If you get a return on feed for wheat this morning at #CBH demand a falling numbers as everything is sprouted this morning with the new machines but no problem with falling numbers. New machines are probably too good and they should change the threshold for feed on sprout.

Going to try a sheep enrichment device to give my new shedding sheep somewhere to scratch. Blunt knife sections for the win on hay feeders. I suspect that part of their reputation for getting through fences comes because they like to rub their old fleece off, hoping distract them

Water question, I’ve got a siphon that runs a trough that lasts several days and then fails, it’s downhill but probably 2-3m over 3/4km. What cheap solar pumps do people have to reinforce the siphon. Just have to get it over 2m of bank. I used to have a 12v sureflow on solar

Having a little grief with my current adblue pump; anyone use one of these to do the job? Those brass fittings might have to go long term…..

This is an example of how many images SnailCam is processing when your working speed is ~9km/h. This is over 9000 images per hour and it can do it day and night.

These are maps from 2025 seeding from Esperance area. Just raw detection data of conical snails. Green - no detection, yellow/red - snail detected. Max number of snails represents maximum number of snails detected within 5 meters/5 images.

2025 seeding we had 15 cameras out in Esperance area mapping snails. Few technical problems but overall good outcome and about 50 000 new images added to the database.

Snail cam ready to map populations up ready to go, should make for some interesting data, detects and maps conicals and Italians and creates a map that is either or or both.

Anyone got an internal peaking auger in a large field bin to get more capacity? Interested to know how to make one work. I’ve got a 110t southern engineering and agriculture unit that i can’t fill the center with my Nyrex.
