Niestern Sander recently completed the conversion of the Yed Prior, then a container ship called GERD, to a gravel hopper dredger for Spaansen.

On 11th November, Royal Niestern Sander held a keel-laying. The keel-laying was for the shallow draft ice breaking walk to work vessel that the shipyard is building for a joint-venture between Mercury Sakhalin and Pola.

At the moment the SK728 is being converted into a Walk to Work ship at the Niestern Sander yard. She will be expected to be delivered in February 2021. This project shows many comparisons with the Kasteelborg.

The progress of the EasyMax 2 is going well. The aft ship is expected to be transported outside in early September this year.

The mv Vlieland will be visiting the yard for more than 2 weeks. She is planned for dock 1. Some of the activities that will be carried out are a special survey, ballast water treatment system and a main engine overhaul.

The LNG trailing suction hopper dredger Ecodelta from Bagger- en Aannemingsmaatschappij Van der Kamp B.V. in Zwolle has left the shipyard. Two minor skin damages on the rear on port side have been repaired. In addition, several small jobs were carried out as well.

Recently Niestern Sander delivered the Geo Ranger to Geo Plus. She made her first sea voyage to Göteborg in Sweden and back to the Eemshaven.

Last week, the Geo Ranger was delivered to its owner Geo Plus B.V. Before delivery, the ship was baptized in the presence of a few guests and we wished her a safe journey.
