I can't believe how quickly people expect you to be done grieving when it takes years. Years and years, sometimes your whole life. Usually it just sits there & you live around it. I'm never fucking letting go. I aspire to be inconvenient and graceless.

@nieshatrout My stepdad passed away years ago and for my Mum it is acute grief, something she bears heavily, many don't understand, thinks she needs help etc. But grieving is different for everyone.

@nieshatrout I’m so sorry & wish I couldn’t relate, but in a way it’s a good litmus test. Anyone putting an ounce of pressure on you for not living up to THEIR expectations for how YOU should feel is showing you who they really are. 👊🏼💕
