Thank you all for your support over the past year, and for your patience as we near the end of this process - and special thanks to all of the dedicated election workers who safeguard our right to vote.

That’s why recounts are part of the democratic process for races as close as ours. They’re as American as apple pie.

Our campaign has always been transparent, so I want to be clear: most recounts do not change the final result of the election. Our chance of success is low, but our race is close enough that a tabulation error or mixup at one precinct on election night could be the difference.

The canvass is the official process to authenticate the election results, and is the last step before we can request a recount. When the results are certified today, we expect our margin will still be within the range for a recount.

I want to give you a quick update on the status of our campaign and the recount. Today, county boards of elections across the state meet to certify the results of the 2024 election.

At this time, our race is too close to call, and I want to thank our supporters for their patience as the process continues.

One of the reasons I ran for office was because my opponent subverted the Democratic process, and I continue to believe that every single vote matters, and voters deserve to have their will reflected - no matter who wins.

Election Update: After the first round of absentee ballots were counted at the Board of Elections today, the margin in our race narrowed. We are well within the margin for a recount, and we will request one after all votes are counted. 🧵.
