There is disproportionate alpha in finding every 20-something year old grinder tucked away in random corners of the world and just arming them with the capital and resources they need to take a meaningful shot on goal
Our team's decision to move to Miami has nothing to do with following investors and everything to do with being in the same timezone as a huge talent pool in Latin America. Turns out Spanish fluency as a founder is a massive competitive advantage.
After 24 years in the USA, today I officially became an American citizen.
Never been more proud to live in the land of the free and home of the brave. 🇺🇸
Remote work sucks. Being in-person with people is infinitely better. I totally understand choosing fully remote if you have young kids or a super long commute but otherwise you’re better off in person with your people

24 today. Feeling a lot of gratitude for everyone who has supported me as a friend, sounding board, or mentor over the last year. Incredibly excited for the future.
It’s easy to dismiss the out-of-network teenagers who pop into your Twitter DMs asking for advice, intros, or just sharing excitement for what they’re building. It’s even easier to forget that careers in this industry are long, and people rarely forget how you treat them.
Looking to hire a Head of Ops — remote, competitive salary and equity. Ideally you’re a 10x writer, can think in systems, and are a straight shooter. DMs open.
Intercom just wiped out an entire cohort of “AI for support” startups. Lesson here: just using AI isn’t defensible or 10x better if the system of record vendor can build it too.

The day ChatGPT launched our ML team got straight to work, asking how it could make
@Intercom
better at Customer Service.
Today we're announcing our first wave of features...
It’s pretty insane to think about the hundreds/thousands of careers that were accelerated as a result of just being Twitter + Clubhouse + Discord-native over the course of the last 18 months.
Working theory: most younger employees prefer synchronous collaboration to async.
Async makes sense if you have a family, kids, or are further along in your career.
But the moments where I learned the most as an intern didn't occur via Slack message.
Slack has had audio and video calls for almost 5 years. People don't use them, and the quality is still dogshit. Not losing any sleep over the drop-in audio rooms announcement.
feeling bad for all the kids who busted their asses for the last 4 yrs for engineering degrees only to be told they can't get a job because they don't have enough experience, and that they instead need to pursue a master's degree so they can be overqualified AND inexperienced
We’ve spent the last several months talking to hundreds of startup founders, PMs, and remote teams about the tools they use every day.
Here’s what people have said.👇🧵

Excited to announce our latest product at
@withdefault
- Workflows 3.0.
Default Workflows is a powerful new automation engine built to help GTM teams automate their manual tasks while eliminating tech bloat.
When I visited SF during the pandemic,
@ricburton
opened up his home to me. We hung out on his front lawn, drank some coffee, and had a long chat. He made SF feel like home before I could call it that, and our conversation that afternoon is the reason I moved here.
I cannot change other people but I can do my best to help the new wave of kids.
If you are coming to the Bay Area to explore on a budget, DM me. Any time. Night or day.
If I can host you, I will. If I cannot, I will find you a place to stay.
If you get stuck, we will fix it.
We just finished our first Tomo app! It sits on top of the same Tomo platform users use every day and is embeddable in any website or web app. Use it to qualify leads faster, collect user feedback, and much more! Here's how it works:

My co-founder and I ran a Formula SAE team of 53 engineers when we were 20 and 19.
We were super hands-on, doing everything from design, to manufacturing, to fundraising, to partnerships.
Invaluable preparation for starting a company.
Excited to announce that I’m officially a
@bloomvp_
scout! Thankful for the opportunity to work with founders of SaaS companies on an important step of their journey and enabling them to move on to their next adventure. 🚀
