This story is one for the books. Almost got deregistered, had to face alot along the way but I learnt that the race is not for the weak. It was easier to give up than continue but I had a goal in mind and was determined to stick to it to the end. Now I'm a university graduate!
I don't understand the narrative they're trying to push. As a matter of fact the top 5 women sprinters by time is :
1 - Flo Jo 🇺🇸 10.49
2- Elaine Thompson-Herah 🇯🇲 10.54
3- Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce 🇯🇲 10.60
4- Carmelita Jeter 🇺🇸 10.64
5- Marion Jones 🇺🇸 10.65
Shericka Jackson wrote down that she was going to run 10.65 and did so. This is a sign to all of us today. Start writing down your goals and work towards them.
Let's put this into context
Elaine "Big Machine" Thompson-Herah ran her first sub 11s of the season on September 4 (10.92s) now 12 days later she ran 10.79s.
This is unreal.
I'm still shocked bro 47.85? Equalled the World Junior Record! Fourth best time in the world this year! He's only 19 years old! Roshawn Clarke that's the tweet 🔥🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
This race was scary im still here thinking probably 9.4 if he did run through the line. It's scary to think about the time really plus the wind was +0.0 m/s (literally no wind). He also sat in the blocks and didn't get the best of starts. This is the biggest I'm HIM moment.
Video of Yohan Blake's 10.31 run. Yohan responded to say he didn't run that slow. A lot of questions being asked. Why did he get the chance to re-run after he clearly false started ? Did the starters make an error? The officials should let us know what really happened.
Jevaughn Powell - Shiann Salmon - Rusheen McDonald - Stacey-Ann Williams. This team would do really well. I don't know what's the issue with these people that select the teams.
To think that you've decided to not include two athletes on the men's 4X100m team that initially earned their spot for someone who shouldn't have even been in Budapest.
Shericka Jackson, Yohan Blake, Oblique Seville, Ronald Levy, Rusheen McDonald, Tajay Gayle, Brianna Williams along with other senior athletes will be competing at the JAAA all comers meet today.
1. Shericka will run 21.3.
2. At least 2 Jamaican men will be in the 100m finals at Budapest.
3. Elaine will get her first world championship gold medal.
4. Tina Clayton will make the team to Budapest and will run 10.8 this season.
I'm overly impressed by that run from Tebogo. This changes everything. Noah Lyles was always the clear favorite before that race, but now he won't have it his own way in Budapest.
@JuniorMosothoa3
Have some shame. The times are wrong. Elaine PB is 10.54 and Shaccari PB is 10.72. Shericka PB is 10.71. Now you know why we are disgusted by the post.
Wayde Van Niekerk progress to the finals as a non automatic qualifier. Will he get Lane 9 and history repeat itself ? Is this all apart of the storyline ?
All me know come World Championships Holloway food ago get share out in a two plate and get nyam. Really love what I saw from Broadbell and Parchment is rounding into shape perfectly.
The effort means a lot Shaunae Miller-Uibo. Many would have sit out the world Championships. Unfortunately she finished seventh but we appreciate that a lot. Hats off to you. Back to the drawing board for the Olympics.
The coaches are to be blamed for what happened with Britton. Such a talented athlete. At times you as the coach have to protect the athlete from themself. She have done it before yes but it was always going to take a toll on her body and affect her result.
