I think we're in the Roman Republic dilemma at this point. You can't let people get away with this level of constitutional overreach without punishing them.But to punish them is to play right into the partisan tit for tat retribution cycle,which was what plagued Rome.("Lawfare"?)

@dccommonsense I would say truth and reconciliation, so that we can learn what happened and precisely how to avoid it happening again, but I have no faith in Americans to participate in a process wherein they must admit wrongdoing.

@skynet47397425 If you go back and look at the Vietnam War protests, they were often huge and violent. In the entire 10 years the only time people got shot, were twice by National Guardsmen, never by trained LEOs. But ICE has done it twice in one month, in the same city.
