Hello hello ! . Today is unfortunately my last day at Blizzard on WoW :(. From proletariat to Riot to Blizzard it was an incredible adventure. I got to work with great people and I grew so much. Ill be looking for new adventures, it's a high bar ! ^^. >-

Well seems like I dodged the bullet for this time . all my thoughts to the ppl that were let off, this is such a blow. My only hope is that in a few years someone looks back at this panic and learns from it.

Here's only the flipbook in unity, no particles. I did multiple iterations, first a flipbook, then in engine, add 3d elements, export back into animate, paintover more, export back, repeat. Used bloom + screen space gradients to blend 3d particle systems and the 2d shapes.

This is the original frame by frame animation, I then exported and composed in 3D as a screen space sliced effect. Ended up dropping the impact frame as it was too detailed. This process helps a lot to get the timing right before I go in engine.
