Immediately reminded me of Richard Tharp diving to the right to avoid Gary Read at the 1977 Indy race. "King Richard" squeezed between Read and guardrail. It's No. 2 on @theLohnes Top 5 Top Fuel Saves list in this video https://t.co/4NozugAfTq
WATCH: In one of the greatest driving moments in Indy history, @AlexLaughlinPS deftly avoided rear-ending Justin Shriefer, who had crossed the centerline ahead of him during the fourth Funny Car qualifying session of the Cornwell Quality Tools #USNats

Saddened to hear this morning of the passing of Bob Huettman, of Ambrose-Argenta-Huettman Comp eliminator fame. We lost Reynald Argenta a few years ago and now Bob. Heart goes out to Steve Ambrose, last surviving member. Great guys all

Everyone I talked to -- and there were lots: Beck, Ace, Shirley, Cory Mac, Hawley, Cruz and Tony Pedregon -- for this #DragsterInsider tribute all said what a wonderful man and team owner Minor was https://t.co/uRiUZBfwrD

Jerry Ruth passed away last night. It's another big loss of an @NHRA legend. I had the honor of interviewing him in 2017 when he reflected on his great career through some great photos I had compiled. https://t.co/5P6fsMGYpS

Word from family is that "the King of the Northwest," Jerry Ruth, is approaching life's finish line. The 1973 Top Fuel world champ had an amazing career. Keep him and his family in your thoughts.

Random stat: Austin @ProckRocket_TF won last year’s #ArizonaNats after qualifying 15th and losing in E1 at a rain-soaked/qualifying-shortened #Winternats. Two weeks ago, at a rain-soaked/qualifying-shortened #Gatornats, he qualified 15th and lost 1st round. Will history repeat?

A special mid-week Insider to honor our great friend Bernie. Talked to Gary Beck, Ed McCulloch, Austin Coil, Terry Capp, Graham Light, and Bernie's wife. Mary, to let them tell you about him.
Wherever he went and for whomever he tuned, the world was a better place with Bernie Fedderly in it. The multi-world championship-winning tuner passed away March 15 and is remembered by his friends and family in today's special #DragsterInsider column. https://t.co/eMqQ3Jtgw4

In today's #DragsterInsider: Bill Shrewsberry didn’t stand in many winner’s circles and never climbed the stage to be celebrated as a world champion, but “Wild Bill” is still remembered as one of the sport’s best wheelstander drivers. https://t.co/vDoa81xYUs

A few weeks ago, the #DragsterInsider mused about which racers would occupy the places of honor on a Top Fuel Mount Rushmore monument. Now it's Funny Car's turn. Which drivers or owners deserve to be immortalized? Caution: This is not as easy as it seems. https://t.co/9iAU5UZTrF

Over the last few years, we’ve seen a flood of articles across different sports all asking the same question: Who's on your [fill in the blank] Mount Rushmore? So in today's #DragsterInsider I ask the question: Who should be on Top Fuel's Mount Rushmore? https://t.co/htRDYGd8mw

Waiting to see who is gonna be in the middle seat of your row on the flight is just the opposite of picking players for your team. We’re all like, “I’ll take the skinny kid coming down the aisle” or, better yet, no one.

In today's #DragsterInsider, we bid a fond farewell to Neil Britt, whose vision and guidance took National Dragster (and me) to new and unexpected heights. His friends, colleagues, and I remember a wonderful human being and automotive journalism genius. https://t.co/HNKLKAm7Px

In today's #DragsterInsider: Sixty years ago, Don Garlits scored the first of eight NHRA U.S. Nationals Top Fuel wins in 1964, the first year that the class was contested in Indy. It was the end of a wild year and a wild race for "Big Daddy." https://t.co/t87dMjdnbC
