An additional tax on choosing a non-sustainable option i.e. petrol, diesel or ‘self-charging’ hybrid. It’s a bit like the tax on smoking, if you knowingly do something which causes damage to the environment, yourself and others you pay a price to do that. 14/15

These guys aren’t going to car shows, they are elsewhere, that’s where the messaging needs to be, outside of the echo chamber. For those who don’t really care, don’t believe, or simply don’t need the savings, then how about disincentives? 13/15

Education and non-sales oriented experience days can help massively with EV knowledge and the fight against disinformation, and we see some of this, but not really in places where consumers who aren’t necessarily thinking about EVs actually are. 12/15

Genuine fear of change, concerns about charging, concerns about resale value, don’t really care, don’t believe in the reasoning for EV, don’t actually need to make savings. These are the real issues we need to tackle to build confidence and momentum in the EV transition. 11/15
