Do others find the term "transgender woman" ambiguous, i.e. is this referring to a female with transgender identity, or a trans woman (i.e. male)? I complained about a BBC article being ambiguous from using this term. Complaint fell on deaf ears, unsurprisingly.

I'm an epidemiologist. Pretty much every epidemiological analysis adjusts for the effect of age & sex - you can't meaningfully interpret results without. #SexMatters in epidemiology & public health, & in sport, & (more than it should) in life. I won't lie & say sex is irrelevant.

Response to the petition “Update the EA to make clear “sex” is biological sex” is underwhelming. Need to remind those providing services that we want & need single sex provision, & that this is allowed. 100k signatures to force a proper debate would be good too!.
