Another iteration. Now gems are incorporated into the field. The look will evolve as we move on, but I have to solve a couple of functional design issues before. One is to constrain particles to the surface (but only partially, remember the beginning?). #houdini #WIP #3d

This was the first test of the concept, just to get a feel for the aesthetics and the direction of the technical setup. (This is not yet a functional design.). Now, as we have refined the setup, we can make a new iteration, incorporating gems into the design. #3d #houdini #WIP

Getting closer! The field now follows the surface and swirls around the obstacles. Next: as our future external objects will have hard edges and geometric shapes, I want the field to look less organic, so let's adjust it in the next iteration. #houdini #WIP

Refined the setup, now it handles complex obstacles pretty well. 🫡.Next step is to build a velocity field that is closer to the intended one. After getting all conceptual and technical proofs I'll be able to move on to the actual geometry. #Houdini #WIP

Still having a battle with this one, but at least I got the direction. I'm finally able to influence the field with external objects taking into consideration their shape and scale. Next step is to build a proper field and play with a particle simulation. #houdini #WIP
