Join our team not just to have an opportunity to produce novel research on criminal justice issues but also for a space that will nurture you as a scholar. I say this from experience as someone who started out at @sqcircleclinic in 2016 as a young researcher.
🚨 Hiring! The Square Circle Clinic, NALSAR is looking for 2 researchers to join us in New Delhi! Head to to know more. All team members currently at @sqcircleclinic were involved in criminal justice work as Project 39A and moved to NALSAR in April 2025.

I wrote about the similarities in sentencing orders in 2 death-eligible cases (RG Kar & Greeshma) with different outcomes and what this tells us about the state of criminal sentencing in India.
While some hail the RG Kar judgment and question the death penalty for Greeshma, there is cause for concern about the same lack of due process that has informed both sentences. Read our Sentencing Director @neet_tweeting in @htTweets to understand why.
