The Nevergrad collection of black-box optimization algorithms by @OTeytaud &al. is indeed very impressive. Its wizard, NGopt*, is pretty powerful. Still, a lot remains to be done and understood *cf paper: https://t.co/eCrwTzKMtS and Nevergrad’s GitHub for a much improved version
@UnterhundP Genetic algorithms, or "evolutionary algorithms" as they are now called are only one class of zeroth-order optimization methods among many. If you want a quasi-complete collection, have a look at NeverGrad: https://t.co/sWPDAxzH4t
