Today I am stepping down from my role as the Nation’s inaugural National Cyber Director at @ONCD. I do so with the utmost gratitude to @POTUS, @VP, and Congress for giving me the opportunity to serve in this Administration.

Mr. President, thank you for placing your trust in me and for placing such a high priority on providing a safe, equitable, and resilient cyberspace for all.

A special thanks to @KembaWalden46 for your friendship and partnership in this work. You’ve led @ONCD with me, side by side, and I know you will continue to relentlessly pursue a more resilient cyberspace as Acting Director.

It's my great honor to have my name associated with the people of @ONCD who stewarded this organization from its very first days. I am proud of what we have accomplished together, and I look forward to watching what @ONCD and its partners will achieve in the future.

Today, @OMBPress released guidance directing agencies to inventory quantum-vulnerable cryptography used on their most critical systems, signifying the start of a major undertaking to prepare our Nation for the risks presented by this new technology.

The Biden-Harris Administration is working to ensure U.S. leadership in the emerging field of quantum computing and to secure sensitive data against potential future compromise by quantum computers.

When I think of Nancy Pelosi, I think of dignity. History will note her as the most consequential Speaker of the House of Representatives in history – she is first, last, and always for the people. America owes her a debt of gratitude for her service, patriotism, and dignity.

I was thrilled to kick off National Apprenticeship Week in Chicago with some amazing company, including @FLOTUS, @SecMartyWalsh, @SecRaimondo, @SecCardona, cybersecurity apprentices, and business leaders, to discuss successful apprenticeship programs.

As a result of our admin's 120 Day Cybersecurity Sprint, 170+ apprenticeship programs are in development and 7,000+ apprentices have been hired. I'm glad @USDOL Deputy Secretary Julie Su joined representatives at the @WhiteHouse yesterday to share our progress. #NAW2022

President Biden's Bipartisan Infrastructure Law represents one of the most significant investments in increasing the cyber resilience of our Nation's infrastructure. One year later, @ONCD is proud to be a part of implementing this once-in-a-generation piece of legislation.

Apprenticeships, including those created under the 120-day Cybersecurity Apprenticeship Sprint, allow hard-working Americans to earn while they learn. @ONCD is proud to help advance pathways to good-paying jobs in the cyber field.
