A unique documentary explores how Swiss researchers from major institutions such as @EPFL_en and @ETH_en have teamed up to produce the most groundbreaking #Robotics technologies. It is now released internationally and made available to all audiences.

We want to thank all the present and past NCCR Robotics members,the stakeholders from industry, education and civil society with whom we’ve collaborated, @snsf_ch and review panel, and all of you who followed us throughout these 12 years.

It is not the end of the story though: our partner institutions @EPFL_en @ETH_en @UZH_en @unibern @UniBasel_en @USI_en @Empa_CH will continue to collaborate through the @NTN_IB_Robotics, a new program aimed at developing technology transfer activities and maintaining the network.

- Improving awareness of gender balance in robotics and substantially increasing the number of women in robotics in Switzerland.- Kick-starting large outreach programs (@cybathlon Swiss Drone Days, Swiss Robotics Day) which will continue to increase awareness of robotics for good.

- Graduating more than 200 PhD students and 100 postdocs, with more than 1’000 peer-reviewed publications.- Spinning out several projects into companies, many of which have become international leaders and generated more than 400 jobs.

Our highlights include:.- Achieving several breakthroughs in wearable, rescue and educational robotics. - Creating new master’s and doctoral programmes that will train generations of future robotics engineers.

We can proudly say that NCCR Robotics has had a truly transformational effect on the national robotics research landscape, creating novel synergies, strengthening key areas, and adding a unique signature that made Switzerland prominent and attractive at the international level.

The 2022 edition of the event took place on November 4 & 5 and was an unprecedented success. Visitors at the Palais de Beaulieu in Lausanne witnessed the latest developments in robotics and the many ways in which it impacts industry, health, education and people’s everyday life.

The final moment of the Swiss Robotics Days 2022 combined art and robotics on stage with "E-quiLibre", an emotional performance using an exoskeleton developed by @twiice_official. 6,500 people visited over the two days, marking the end of NCCR Robotics.
