i've come to accept the fact that when investors talk about investing in "consumer crypto" they just mean pumpfun and polymarket clones on the next L2 scam launch.

Spoke to another founder recently who was disheartened after pitching to investors, they were more obsessed with the potential token and its "pumpability" than the actual business. Founders deserve better than short-term hype chasers.
Easiest way to position yourself out of a venture round is to say "we're long-term minded" and then ask "when token" 5 mins later.
