Haven't popped onto this toxic li'l sludgepit in a while, but might as well make El*n work for me while I'm here. Looking for something to read this spooky season? Might I suggest: the horror-thriller WHEN THE WOLF COMES HOME (graciously dubbed "a classic" by @stephenking)?

I’m just so grateful for everyone who's read & supported this book (or any book of mine [or any book by anyone, because books need all the support they can get these days]). From the bottom of my heart—and the top of my porcelain-figurine-shredded stomach—thank you. ❤️❤️👻🛁🐜🐜

I'm beyond overjoyed by the momentous bit of news my editor shared with me: this weird, wild, 400+ page debut horror novel full of ghosts and serial killers and Kate Chopin quotes and existential midlife horror, has sold over 100,000 copies across formats. 🤯🤯🤯

Now that @StephenKing's THE LONG WALK has received an all-timer of an adaptation, and a new RUNNING MAN is on its way, I'm remembering how, like, 15 years ago I started writing a play adaptation of ROADWORK, envisioned as an evil OUR TOWN w/ Bachman as the Stage Manager . . .

We have the numbers and we have the power. Never forget that. Also, never forget the magic four words: "Fuck you, make me."

The ONLY reason @Disney is bringing @jimmykimmel back is because the American people stood up, called out the executives by name, Disney's stock plummeted and Disney lost a lot of money. Get it? That's the playbook for the next three years of Trump. YOU must be LOUDER than him.

When the Wolf Comes Home is a grotesque fairytale, which pulls at heartstrings without trying hard. It’s an emotional story of father-child relationship, peppered with gore and imaginative horror, where the afterword is as disarming & impactful as the novel itself. @natcassidy

#TwitteroweKsiazkary #books #book

Looking for something shorter? How about the Bram Stoker Award-nominated novella, REST STOP? Or the landmark, instant NYTimes bestselling THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT: NEW TALES FROM STEPHEN KING'S THE STAND, featuring my wild love letter to King (among 33 other bangers)?

Or how about the ghost-y madness of MARY: AN AWAKENING OF TERROR (one of the Top 100 Horror Novels of All-Time, according to Audible)? Or perhaps the creeping chills of NESTLINGS (one of the best books of 2023, according to the NY Public Library)?

I think I'm gonna go updates only on this site. I won't delete my profile, cuz I don't wanna get hijacked, but I just can't stand that musky smell anymore, you know? In the meantime hahaha there's always self promotion🙃🙃

but for now, feel those feelings, mourn, prove love, stay safe. do not let the hope i am espousing feel like a distraction from the very real, even deadly consequences of the terrible pit we are plummeting into. it is a horrible day, and FUTURE HOPE does not diminish that, BUT

We also write horror stories because there are always lessons to be learned in tales of survival, or almost-survival. Every lesson is a tool. And, to quote Ani DiFranco, every tool is a weapon if you hold it right. I’m not gonna stop fighting. I hope you won’t either.

We write horror stories because it’s important to remember that sometimes the darkness wins. Sometimes the worst case scenario comes to pass. Sometimes people really are just bad. But.
