A true musical maverick, Ziad Rahbani didn’t do things in half measures. He lived a free life, on his own terms; and left the same way

It's the oldest trick in the book: When poverty is on the rise and the rich are getting richer, the powerful play divide and rule. That's what the Tories' latest attack on refugees is all about. I will vote against their cruel Anti-Refugee Bill.

What an excellent piece. @nataliethis does a great job profiling Al-Mounzer, as she did with her article on Touroub in 2019. Many recognize the music without knowing its history or creators.
In many ways, Lebanon’s civil war stunted a previously thriving music industry and impacted the careers of even the most well-known artists. Ihsan Al-Mounzer, though, was among the exceptions👇
