on this day 29 years ago my mother sat in this very hospital in labour. she gave birth to me and for the last 29 years it has been an honour to serve her, take care of her and be her person. she has left me today so that i never forget her and i most certainly will never. ♥️

Ten years ago yesterday, on February 10, 2015, three young Muslims--23 year old Deah Barakat, 21 year old Yusor Abu-Salha & 19 year old Razan Abu-Salha--were shot to death in their home, in what came to be known as the Chapel Hill Shooting. Thinking of their loved ones today.

realised this is the first time i’ve picked up a mushaf since saudi. i try read quran everyday but it’s usually from my phone. i get so distracted/ probably read a lot less too. it’s great for convenience but with my attention span it’s rubbish. nice to acc read from a quran.

The MCR 10 case should urge you to get to know YP in your communities, and get in your courts. Cops & CPS have the audacity to think working class/racialised YP are disposable, not cared about. We need to show them how foolish they are, and advocate for YP where the law won’t.
