So if you move the inviting incident to the beginning of the book, how do you structure the rest of the story? Do you move the other beats up too? Does the “break into 2” or “Journey Begins” point still take place at 25%?.#WritingCommunity.
@lololeereverie Love it. I do this. I don't need pages and pages of backstory. I can get to know the character in how they deal with the inciting incident. I can find out about backstory in snippets of introspection. The ordinary world is rarely important.
