On June 1st and every day, we must protect wild salmon and their habitat. Salmon are an important part of our history, economy, and culture. Wild salmon are in decline. We must raise awareness and take action to support the recovery of wild salmon. #WildSalmonDay

Remember #KomagataMaru Call out those in power who set up unjust laws such as #ContinousJourney & #WarMeasuresAct Speak out against #racism & #hate.
On this 111th anniversary, I remember the 376 British subjects of Indian descent aboard the Komagata Maru who were denied entry in May 1914. Do not repeat the mistakes of the past. Photo: 2008, community, labour, & academia joined together, to speak out against racism & hate.

May the fourth be with you! Do you know the Japanese connection? Star Wars creator George Lucas admired Akira Kurosawa’s film techniques and samurai culture. Droids C3PO & R2D2 are like the 2 peasants in Hidden Fortress. #MayThe4thBeWithYou #StarWarsDay #MayTheFourthBeWithYou.
May the Fourth Be With You! George Lucas was inspired by samurai culture especially films, such as Seven Samurai, Hidden Fortress, by Japanese director Akira Kurosawa. Compare Darth Vader to samurai warlord Oda Nobunaga. #MayTheFourth #MayTheFourthBeWithYou #StarWars #StarWarsDay

April 28 is #DayofMourning. Each year we gather to remember those who went to work & did not return home to their loved ones. In 2023, over 1,000 workers in Canada died. Over 274,000 workers were injured & got sick. We must all ensure our workplaces are safe, inclusive, & healthy
