A good rule of thumb, when listening to someone who thinks that they can reshape the future, is to ask "does this person seem to understand that theirs is not the only valid life experience". A lot of our modern techbro elites don't pass that test.

The truth of the matter is that inclusion is inconvenient. It's slower. We have to fully and actually believe in the benefits of it (and risks of not doing it) in order to prioritize it. When shit gets busy, we see how committed people are. Be committed, friends.

I don't like it when Alexa tries to sell me stuff in my living room, but I have a visceral rage reaction to Alexa marketing to my kid, 100% of the time. Can't they detect a child's voice? Wish there were regulations in place around selling to minors...
